BusyFunMom
This morning at 7:45am I took the kids to rec center. While I got some time to workout wes and ari was n the daycare center. Apparently, ari was a little fussy, but wes had a grand ole time. In fact, after an hour, he did not want to come back to me. Glad he enjoy because this will be my time to decompress.
Then at noon, drop off the kids at Molly's and went to my final checkout at school. All is well, boss said they thoroughly enjoyed having me on board. Ask whether I would go to state and help them on that level. I said no thanks!
Next , it was our last regular day. Tomorrow is the big fininsh, I will be a free agent. Life is busy, full of up and downs, but the ride is certainly spectacular!

Fun Filled Friday
My day started at 6:31am when Wes woke up. I had told him we were going to Molly's later but he has no concept of time and wanted to open the door and get into the car right now. Later, He did noticed on the side of my car door, there were some bird poop and he said "mama, jiji (bird) pooh".
Next, today at school was the big k-2 field day, over 1 hour and a half of activities for the children. I got to supervise Randy/ Candice's class. They are generally more rambunctious then my homeroom class.
After this event was over, my homeroom class came in and we did a monsters multiplication activity that they just love, loved! It was fun to see their creativity with the monsters.
Then after lunch, we had Queen Elsa from Frozen Movie come to visit us, she read, sang, and made snowflakes with the kids.
Last, after school was out at 1:30pm, I drove an hour to visit my old AP friends for Claudia's 39th year retirement party. Everyone look older and not as happy. But treated me like a guest. In Second Grade still same girl drama except now they involve each other. Glad I left when I left. Got home at 5:10pm. What a fun filled day!!

Fun in the Sun
Today after our morning walk, I took the kiddos to the playground and splash pad behind the fire station. You can tell by their smiling faces, they had great fun too!

5 school days left
I have 5 more days of school left. Leaving behind my position that I have worked very hard for, in the last 9 1/2 years. Can't believe how fast time flies! First, student taught at AP in Fall of 2004 and they hired me on in December of that year. Then, started teaching Chinese at Wasatch beginning Summer of 2010. Now 4 years later, I'm still refining my craft. That's a total of 9.5 years in Second Grade. It is time to move forward.
Must admit love, love teaching part-time this school year. Having kids and work this was just the right combination. My teaching partner Randy is retiring also, after 33 years of service! That is a lot of years. Great guy, even gave each of us teachers (there are 5 including himself) leaving this year $50 each.
Summer will be easy to adjust, but once school starts maybe I will feel a little sad. But right now, I'm ok. I got a summer camp chinese teaching job line up for 3 weeks and sub 3 days in Jordan Dist.
June is my only quiet month with the kids. I like being busy.

The day after Holiday
Well I have to say, last night when we went to pick up our babies at Gong Gong's it was a very sweet moment. From the moment we parked our car in the driveway, Wes look as if in disbelief that it was Bryce and I. Then he came and gave us both hugs, while kept calling "dada, mama" like is it really you?! Little Ari, when she heard and saw my face was almost in tears, then she smiled. Very sweet moments indeed.
Today was the day after...sure was nice to have Bryce around as we recouperate from the trip. We took both of them to the park, then Bryce took Wes to the library and went to Costco. He also made lunch and dinner for both of us. He really is a good man, I need to give him credit for all that he does and not focus on getting more.

Mexico Holiday 2014
On May 11th, Mother's Day 2014, I accompanied Bryce to Mexico for 5 and a half days. We stay in the beautiful city of gudalajara. This city of 7 million has historical building from 1700's, delicious Mexican food, and warm respectful people. One of my major concern before going was of saftey, but at least in this city, you did not see people loitering, what you did see was armed security guards everywhere. Especially, next to banks and jewelry stores. The food was excellent being that in the states I seldom eat Mexican food but this was the real deal.
I had mole pronounced mo lay and tried mocajate a type of hoot stew with choice meat. Even try tequila ice cream.
While Bryce with working pretty much from 8-5pm, My companion Sherri and I traveled around downtown for several days sight seeing, shopping, and having lunch. The culture is very different here, not only do you have to "pay or buy something" to use its bathrooms, like Taipei, can't drink the water, but people eat lunch at 3pm rather at noon. Many school age children were not at school but helping family with the street stalls. As explained by the locals, not many schools here, so students go to morning session or afternoon session for schools. School is free but they must pay for uniforms and books. Sadly, many families choose to keep their kids with them and help the family business.
We even took a double decker bus and traveled to near by towns called tonala craft town, artisan town of town I can't say and zapapon modern city of state of jalisco. The modern city of Zapapon was much like the high-end malls we have here all brand names, hugo boss, coach purses and etc.... The highlight was on day 4 when we traveled 3.5 hours to talpa and hiked to see maple tree, and visit the local town meeting where the scientist were special guests. It was a long day of car ride arriving back to hotel at 11:00 pm. The next day, worse case of stomache and diaheara. Got better as the day went on for the 5.5 hours flight home
What I will remember about this town is its beautiful historical buildings, the hard working and respectful people, and love of family.

Day 3 in Mexico
Today My Companion Sherri and I went to downtown Guadalajara and took a ride on a double decker bus. We rode 40 minutes out of town to Tonola stop to shop a little. then another 30 to the artist village of Tlaquepaque. In this village we had lunch and walked around more shops. Got back to hotel around 3:30. Guadalajara is muy bonita!

Can it be? 1 day Mexico 9 days of work
Time sure flies! The day after tomorrow I get to fly out to Mexico with Bryce. It will be our first international couple trip (2011 Taiwan with his parents, 2013 Hawaii with Marty). It would be nice to have some couple time with my husband. Seems like we don't really talk to each other anymore, if we do its about the kids.
It can be exausting and stressful with the two kids all day, so it is quite nice to have this trip to look forward to. Even though I am with the kids all day, I still am addicted to checking my e-mail 10 times a day. I really need to change that since I won't be "working" after 9 days. That also leads me to breaking up the day so I atleast get some schooling in for Wes. So much to do, guess I just have to start a little like add in 10 minutes of letter time or something!!
Bryce's parents will be coming in tomorrow and will watch the kids until Wednesday morning. Then my father takes over until we come back late night on Friday. Because of them I can go on this trip, I am truly grateful.

Sub Tip #1 Expectations
State explicitly what you want kids to do, or else they will choose what they want to do. Example, students running in the halls, instead of walking quietly.

Sorry Wes
Yesterday while i was feeding the baby, Wes was upstairs, got a iron and manage to plug it in and burn a quarter of his hand. I feel bad that it happened, stress because it was close to noon when we all leave for Mollys.
