Second Chance to Do Good

Today at work heard news of current Chinese aide had breast cancer surgery. She is a Taiwanese lady about 80 years old still working because she needs the money.

Got a collection going for her, see if people are willing to contribute.

My Own Babies

For the past 2 weeks, I've been so focused on my 49 students, and adjusting to full-time work that I forgotten how much my own babies have grown before me.

W is striving more and more independence. After soiled pants, he insist on getting his own pants even if it is more appropriate for another season ( long pants, long shirt in Summer).  He is a lot more communicative, loves everything minion, presents, computer school, Ms.Linda Pre-school, and has more time awareness (daddy will be back in 1 day.)

A just blews us away with her oral langauage.  She can speak in sentence format, and multiple sentences.  "I am sad."  "Mama tou (tou)"  Her oral language development is beyond what we remember for the boy.

Love them, and cherish the time we are together!

A PLACE TO BELONG

Completed my first official week of full-time working mom.  There are pros and cons to how I am feeling.  On one hand, I love that I have a place where I can contribute and feel like I belong.  On the other hand, I don't see my kids that much.

What a difference compare to subbing in classrooms.  IF you have a bad day, your kids will still love you.  Since I have one year experience of subbing in classrooms, I don't ever want to forget the things that I learned.

- Sub need name labels
-Lessons that are easy to execute
-daily prompts.  ri li for calendar, di tang for carpet

First Week of School (10th time around)

Kids love going to Linda, I feel good that it is structured and same friends

Adapting to new workplace, some people nice others not so much (at least from my perspective) .

I love all the support of so many people to a child's education (office, pe, art, computers, teachers)

Bad Omen

Our first official day of Mommy work 8-4:30pm and the kids first full, full day. Wes did not want to leave because he was doing minion playdough and threw a huge tantrum.  When we got home B was cooking and I was playing with A where I dip her to the ground and up. Guess what she threw up all over me and my clothes.  This is an adjustment period for all of us.  The kids longer day at Linda's and me going back to full time work.

Grandparents Visit Us

We had Gong and Ama, along with Uncle Marty come to visit us.  They care for them for 2 hours and took the kids to the park, so B and I could have some down time. Very nice! I know I have a glorious family.

Classroom update

Before
After

Swim Sat

Took the kids swimming this morning and after to the park. A little taste of my old normal.  Now I will be working 8 hours a day, well starting next week.  This will be my new, new normal.

I miss my kids already!

Full Day Meetings

It was the first time B dropped the kids off at daycare and picked them up.  I was gone from 8-4:30pm. I sat the whole morning in meetings with the whole district and after lunch another 3 and a half hours in school meeting.  This is what I don't like. But the rest of teaching is fun.

I sure did miss my kids. It helps that I know they feel comfortable and know what to expect at MsLinda's.  Our world is going to change when B goes to England for a week and the kids go to Molly and Mindy. Hope all goes okay.

Birthday 4 with 14 kids!

Today W had 12 kids at his house from ages 7-2. It went well, organized chaos as B like to call it. We did pin the goggle on the minion, draw a minion, watched a mini-movie on minions and ball toss game. I asked for no presents but they sure got a lot of sweets.  It was a busy but fun day!

Dino Museum

We had fun today at the Dino Museum brought Gong along. His only gripe was that watching the kiddos he couldn't really enjoy it!  Oops. At least, it was only two bucks a person.  After took Ang to McDonalds. Our days are numbered.

Her Development

A said today" daddy what are you doing?" as dad was drilling a screw into the deck. She can also say "I'm coming! These are all social language that I think she pick up from school.  We've been at Ms.Linda's for a month now. They really enjoy it.

Eyes of Babes

Funny thing W said at the dental office today, he called the dental hygienist "Teacher-Doctor". He knows a teacher is a adult in charge and doctor helps people so she is a teacher doctor. Makes total sense.

Farm Days

UpStart

Yesterday, we started day 1 of UpStart Kindy tutoring with W. He mostly just got the letter W right. As a parent, it is painful to see him like that, but as a teacher, if we have his baseline, we will know if he has growth.  I am really hopeful with our teaching and the computer software, he will be kindy ready.  Love how a the training meeting, B was the only daddy. This show he loves his babies.

Tasty and Reasonably Priced

Today we went to visit Wang family in SLC and stuffed with Golden Dragon Chinese Food. Spent 100 on lunch and left over to share among the family. We are truly blessed. My family also love my littles, its sweet to see and I can run errands.
