Week 2 StayAtHome Mom

Today I took Wes to swimming lesson and drop Ari at Dana's house.  I found that when we have activities planned everything seem tolerable and more doable.  The kids have activities out of the house is always good for them too.

During week 2 of Wes potty training we are not celebrating yet, because we still get accidents of #2 (thankfully the hard kind) Bryce and I just dump it in the toilet.

We are also getting our neighbor's 11year old girl to start babysitting for us once a week. So we can have some time alone.  Keep you updated on how that goes...
Uncle bought Wes a cool giraffe  pool at Ama's house.

What luck?!

Yesterday, I drove to Randy's house in Orem for work party and I got hit by a distracted driver.  At least, he admit fault.  Saying he was looking at a cute dog. Anyhoo, he hit the gal behind me, then her car hit mine.  Now prius will go to body shop while we get everything back to what it was.  Hopefully, this will be within the next week.

Wes today went to his 2 3/4 years old dental appt. it was $59 with a coupon.  They took an X-ray, floss, and exam.  They said at this stage just make sure dentist is not a scary person.  The tip is for Wes to use floss threaders because his teeth are now touching.

Terrific Tuesday

This morning the kiddos and I went to rec center.  I workout while they play at the child care lab. Wes  seems to really love the lab and the inside soft playground.   I let him play for additional 15 minutes before we left.

Then we drop off Ari at Dana's house so we could go swimming.  The lessons have been more water playing time for Wes.  He can't really focus like the 5-7 year olds in the group.  But the experience still wears him out.

As for potty training day 4.  Wes today made a #2 by himself in our toilet. It's going well.  He manages to stop himself from a temper tantrum and go to number  one all by him self.  We are still working on the night time and naps routine since most say this will take the most time.  Mostly, we've been having him wear underwear and wrapped a diaper around it.

Day 2 Potty Training

Except for a few bumps, we had a great 2nd day of potty training.

The Good- Wes went to the bathroom most of the time on his own, we did not have to remind him to much to go.

Bumps: Both of his #2 were assisted by either Bry or I. The first time I saw him ready to go and sure enough he almost had his turd on the floor.  The second time we were playing out in the yard and he went right out there.  I had him helped me clean it up.

Hoping night 2 is as good as first night.  He did not wake up at all last night. Even though he was a little wet.

8 months Ari

Ari was eight months yesterday. She is making good progress, she has been rolling back and forth for a while. In addition, she also loves to interact with everyone. She has been able to roll from from to back, to back to front. She eats solids twice a day.

We started wes on potty training today. With our intense support from 6:30am to 9pm he was able to have eight successful pee pee . He is even wearing big boy underwear now.it takes a lot of patience. Tomorrow we start day 2.

Potty Training Day One Summary

Pretty intense morning and afternoon. Every 5 minutes, put him on the potty for 10 minutes.  Then after 3 successful attempts in toilet move to every 10 minutes/ 10 minutes. Wes had 8 successful number ones and two accidents. Now on to night training. Surprisingly he woke up dry.

More to come for Day 2.
